Theme 2: Models of regolith-landscape evolution

Regolith-landscape models provide the starting point for 3D regolith models, which are required for both MINEX and NRM applications. Tectonism, eustasy and climate change all affect landscape evolution. Together with regolith structure, regolith depth and age-dating of events, regolith-landscape evolution models describe the relationship between episodes in landscape evolution, deep weathering and sedimentary dispersion and how these may relate to past and present mobility of salt and metals. Regolith-landscape evolution models provide a critical link between NRM and MINEX applications.
