RESEARCH INTERESTS
Applied sedimentology; genesis of mineral sand deposits; regolith and sedimentary evolution of palaeochannel systems; coastal landform evolution; carbonate depositional systems

TEACHING AND RESEARCH SUPERVISION
Over 50 Honours, Masters and PhD geoscience students supervised in a range of sedimentology related research fields.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Invited Visiting Professor, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University , 1993.
Completed 6 oceanographic voyages as Chief Scientist/Co-Chief Scientist aboard the CSIRO/National Facility Research Vessel FRANKLIN (55 metres).
Member, Geological Society of Australia
Member, Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (WA Division)

Over 50 publications in refereed journals covering topics in applied sedimentology.
