THANKS AND BEST WISHES TO LEME STAFF
July and December 2007
In this, the final operating year for CRC LEME - 1 July to 30 June 2008 - it is an unfortunate reality that contract staff members whose positions have been funded by the CRC, will revert to employment with their respective Core Parties, or will be moving to other positions within industry or academia.
As a joint venture CRC LEME has benefited from every individual contribution, large or small. Our researchers and support staff have been its 'life blood' and it is quite true that, for LEME, the combined research effort has resulted in much more than could have otherwise been achieved by the various Core Parties individually. We can be extremely proud of the world class scientific advancements and end-user focused outputs of this Collaborative Research Centre.
We will maintain these staff members on our lists for LEME news and information and I am sure they will continue to support LEME - officially or unofficially. We will ensure that due recognition and acknowledgement is given to all LEME staff on our LEME site.
The site will provide reference to all LEME publications and products, historical news, students and staff. It will be maintained by CSIRO until 2013 and negotiations are in hand with AMIRA to hold a duplicate copy of our site for perpetuity.
I'm sure you will all join me in thanking these LEMERS for all of their hard work and efforts on behalf of the CRC, and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
