Cost:
AUD$27.50 (includes postage and GST)
Regolith '98 was a follow up to the 1st Australian Regolith Conference
in Broken Hill in 1994 and the 2nd Australian Regolith Conference
in Brisbane in 1996.
CRC LEME organised this conference in Kalgoorlie with the particular
emphasis on looking ahead.
The major theme of the conference was to address new aspects of
regolith studies and landscape evolution that will potentially lead
to scientific and mineral exploration breakthroughs in Australia.
What are the exploration priorities for the next 20 years and what
new exploration leads have been gained from the past 10 years research?
Regolith '98 received some 60+ abstracts for presentations and
posters indicating an increasing interest in the regolith conferences
from industry in particular. The Abstract Volume and, soon, the
Proceedings cover many aspects of landscape and regolith genesis
and their application to minerals exploration.
